Movie Night and Grief Group this week!

On Wednesday night (6/29) at the Weiss Residence, we will gather to view a film and have discussion about its themes. The fun begins at 6:30!

On Thursday (6/30) at 7PM, the St. Michael's Grief group will gather to hold one another in prayer, listen to stories, and share our struggles. All facing any kind of grief are welcome!

June Galatians Series

This past Sunday, we began to explore together Paul's letter to the Galatians. Galatians is Paul's "angry" letter as he confronts a community that is more than willing to return and conform to Roman imperial culture. Paul reminds the Jesus' followers of Galatia that they are "crucified with Christ," and observing Roman Law in the guise of Jewish Law cannot justify them in God's eyes.

Pentecost!

On May 15th, we will gather to celebrate Pentecost, the festival day when the promised Holy Spirit was poured out upon all nations so that they could hear and understand the Good News of Jesus in their own languages. 

St. Michael's Grief Group

If you or a loved one are in need of a safe space to share feelings of grief and to listen to the experience of others, the St. Michael's Grief Group will gather at 7pm on April 28th.

Holy Week Worship

Join us for Holy Week at St. Michael's!
Palm Sunday begins our focus on the death and resurrection of Christ as we listen to the story of Jesus' last days in its entirety.
On Maundy Thursday, we recount Jesus commandment for his friends to love and serve others. We remember the Last Supper as we celebrate Holy Communion. The Altar is stripped of its decorations as a symbol of Jesus arrest and betrayal.
Good Friday brings us to the story of Jesus death on the cross as a religious rebel and political outlaw.
The Easter Vigil service on Saturday evening begins outside around the fire. The ancient church gathered after sunset for the first celebration of resurrection, receiving new members through baptism, and hearing the story of the resurrection as the culmination of all of the others stories of God's redeeming and saving acts.
On Easter Morning, we celebrate that death has been overcome and the New Creation has begun!
